This page shows examples of the data that we have. You can compare the data resolution and experience the layer capability of the Geographic Information System (GIS) in the "Sample" section. You can download some Minerals Management Service (MMS) public data that we put together in the "Data" section. You can grab posters in the "Poster" section. In the "Other Data" section, we also listed the data that we provide on a commercial basis. If you have any questions, or if the data that interests you are not shown here, please feel free to contact us.

Note:
The files generated from MMS's Web site are converted and merged data. Each file has been compressed to make the downloading multiple parts of the file easier and to cut down the downloading time. After saving the file, you can use utility programs (e.g. WinZip) to decompress the file.
* We are distributing the seafloor relief data for the Texas Sea Grant College Program commercially. As a result, the data presented here is a jpeg image and is coarsely gridded data. To purchase the full resolutioned CD set, please call (713) 468-1410 or e-mail us.
** This is the compressed file size.
*** All the data is in geodetic (longitude/latitude) format and a NAD27 datum.
**** The ArcView™ shapefile can be brought in by many different GIS packages. If you do not have ArcView™, you still can view the shapefile using the free ArcExplorer™ viewer. For MapInfo™ and AutoCAD™ users, the MapInfo™ and AutoCAD Map 2000™ programs have built-in utilities, which can convert the shapefile to their native format.
