Triton Group Makes its Mark on Brazil

Triton Group announced at OTC that it has added Brazil to its international network. The emerging global market leader in subsea technology now has a strategic presence in the North Sea, Gulf of Mexico, South America and South-east Asia.

Since joining forces with Brazilian company Robotica Ramos Consultoria Ltda, (RRC), Triton Group has secured $5 million of new business with a variety of national and international clients to deliver ROV pilot training and project simulation, rental of ROV tooling equipment, simulation of subsea projects and product sales. A complete Triton XLX work-class ROV system was sold to a Brazilian based ROV service contractor for operation in offshore Brazil.

Macae-based RRC specializes in ROV simulator training and subsea scenario modeling and consulting services. Together Triton Group and RRC are bringing the latest subsea control system products and associated services to the Brazilian offshore market.

The Macae operation extends Triton’s engineering service and customer support centres and is capable of providing equipment servicing and support services as well as customized tooling projects for remote intervention.

Martin Anderson chief executive officer of Triton Group said: “Our global network and strategy now extend across Europe, the US and Asia Pacific to the Brazilian market. While Triton Group companies have been supplying the Brazilian market for several years, a physical in-country presence, through our partnership with RRC, is a natural evolution for the group and a firm indication of our commitment to a region which will be key to our future growth.

“With an established reputation for remote intervention training and support services, RRC is proving to be an ideal partner and we will continue to develop our capabilities in Macae by adding further resources and extending the product servicing and support facility.”

With a breadth and depth of capability Triton Group now specialises in the design, development, manufacture, sale and rent of remotely operated technologies and their systems’ components. The group also offers engineering support, training and the supply of qualified technical personnel.

The companies in the group are Perry Slingsby Systems, Sub-Atlantic, UK Project Support Ltd (UKPS), Subco, Cynergetix Pty Ltd, Dynamic Positioning Services Ltd (DPS) and Geoscience Earth and Marine Services Inc (GEMS), VisualSoft, VMAX, Seafloor Geoservices Inc (SGI), and ETS.
